This part of preparing for a family is a big one for me, I want to make sure I am strong enough physically for both pregnancy, and raising a family. I know that I have to be patient as this is going to take realistically over a year to get to where I want to be, however I’ve already found such an incredible support system with other JustStrong ambassadors.
I tried to be very conscientious when we were picking our vendors for our wedding. I wanted them to be a small business and/or local when possible.
This was easy enough with our venue, cake, hair and makeup, my dress was from a local shop (even though the designer is Australian), and even our favours were mini jars of jam from Tiptree (also local to us). For other aspects of our wedding day, I turned to Etsy for inspiration.
So since having my implant removed, and focussing more on tracking my periods and understanding my body more, I’ve also decided to make sure that when I do have a period, I’m doing what I can for the planet.
In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, my husband and I completed our ‘Love Languages’ test. The idea behind this test is that each individual person has an idea of what ‘love’ is, and how someone can show them that they love them.
